Set up the account basics
Start with the account and organisation details in Settings. Gear Now uses these details across booking records, support requests, invoices, verification checks, and marketplace communication.
If you operate through a company, keep the business name, ABN, contact details, and billing details aligned with the entity that will book or list equipment.
Add profile and contact details.
Complete company or organisation details where prompted.
Keep email and phone details current for booking updates.
Complete verification early
Some marketplace actions stay locked until identity, business, insurance, or billing checks are complete. Completing those checks early reduces friction when you need to book, list, message, or resolve a booking quickly.
Respond to identity and business prompts in Settings.
Upload insurance details when requested.
Add a valid payment method before starting time-sensitive bookings.
Before your first booking
Before confirming a hire, review the equipment details, hire dates, pickup or delivery option, final price, cancellation terms, and any site access requirements.
If the job depends on a specific attachment, access window, transport condition, or licence requirement, confirm that detail before the hire starts.
